Small Business Struggles
Taking care of the big and critical city problems benefits not just the victims who suffer the serious situation, but the general public and business sector.
I know by experience what it takes to have such a responsibility. I have spoken to many Pomona small business owners. I hear them about how much they struggle to maintain their business opened. Their main complains are:
- Homeless people leaving trash and sleeping or laying in front of their business doors.
- Prostitutes working in-front of their businesses’ doors.
- Individuals under the influence getting in the businesses causing trouble and scaring the consuming clients.
- Poor street maintenance (unattractive public views and environment)
- High private property damage
- Lack of police prompt and efficient response / public security
- High city licenses or permits fees. Slow processes causing losses to the applicants
- Unreasonable city requirements to expand, improve, or obtain business resources/support.
- Slow economic growth resulting in low sales / hard to maintain the business opened,
These are views in front of businesses.
